The West London Chorus welcomes new members!
The West London Chorus always welcomes new members to take part in our exciting and stimulating concerts and other events. Some experience of choral singing and sight reading is helpful, but not compulsory. There’s an informal audition for new members so that our Musical Director, Hilary Campbell, can make sure you are placed in the appropriate section for your voice.
The choir usually rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 19.45 to 21.45 at St Michaels Church in Elmwood Rd, W4 3SZ. Potential new members are welcome to attend rehearsals as guests to get the feel of what singing with the choir will be like, and to help them decide if they want to join us.
Annual membership is £250 payable in October, though alternative arrangements can be made on request to the Treasurer. In addition to rehearsals and performances, membership also includes our annual Christmas party!
We also offer a limited number of vocal scholarships each year to nurture the skills and experience of talented singers between the ages of 18 and 30, and to help each of our vocal sections improve our singing!

A recent new member recently reported that, “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first term and really appreciate the high standards and high expectations of our musical director, Hilary. It has been an exciting and challenging term and I feel I have learned a lot. It has been a real privilege to sing with in this choir.” (And this comes from someone who used to sing with the Philharmonia Chorus.)
